Nearly as cute and almost as smart as the Mini take our low mileage Metro out for a drive
Its sad that the Metro is not remembered more fondly. It’s success gave British Leyland a new lease of life and after the mediocre Allegro it truly was a British Car to beat the world.
It was produced in a state of the art robotic factory and should have outlived the Mini if only more money had been available to facelift it. More than two million were sold and it genuinely deserves “Classic “ status.
