The Allegro replaced the 1100/1300 in 1973 but failed to win the same sales success. It was produced for 10 years but only achieved sales of 642,000 compared to over 2 million for its predecessor. It was not styled by Pininfarina and the new interiors were fairly horrid and also cramped.Â
The Estate version was almost wilfully unattractive.Â
