What is a Junior Classic Car Driving Experience?
Give your young car enthusiast the chance to get behind the wheel of a real classic car with our unforgettable Junior Driving Experience.
Designed for children who are passionate about cars but aren’t yet old enough to hold a driving licence, this unique experience lets them take the wheel of an automatic Mini in a safe, controlled environment under the guidance of one of our qualified instructors.
What’s included?
- Suitable for children 4ft 8in (approximately 1.42m) or taller (around the average height of a 10-year-old).
- Drive an automatic Mini on our private, fully enclosed driving area.
- Accompanied throughout by a DBS-checked, qualified instructor.
- Dual controls allow the instructor to take control at any time, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- 15 minutes behind the wheel.
- Choose from a range of available dates on our online booking calendar (look for the dates marked Junior Drives).
- Your voucher is valid for 12 months, giving you plenty of flexibility to book.
- Professional photographs of the experience are available to purchase on the day.
After their drive, your child will enjoy free admission to our award-winning interactive motoring museum, where they can explore over 150 iconic British cars, discover fascinating stories and enjoy our family-friendly facilities, including the Filling Station Café.
Please note that accompanying adults will need to purchase museum admission separately.

With Zoe, our fully qualified Advanced Driving Instructor, in the passenger seat throughout, they’ll learn the basics of driving in a safe, relaxed environment. The Mini is fitted with dual controls, allowing Zoe to take over whenever needed, so both children and parents can enjoy the experience with complete confidence.
Your child will drive our beautiful 1989 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Mini. Finished in superb condition and fitted with a rare automatic gearbox, it’s the perfect introduction to driving.
