Driving this powerful Jaguar is so much better without the roof
In many ways the 6 cylinder XJS is easier to live with than the complex and thirsty V12. Before launching a fully convertible version Jaguar came up with this cabriolet with a roof rather like that of the Triumph Stag. The six cylinder cars were available in manual form making for a more engaging driving experience.
The XJS is the most popular 2 seater Jaguar ever made and remains a much underrated machine.
