The Silver Spirit succeeded the incredibly successful Silver Shadow with a new body but using the same 6.8 litre V8 engine.
This is a car which has massive presence and insulates its occupants from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
The styling has perhaps not aged as well as the Shadow but this is every inch a Rolls -Royce and if you do collect a careless pedestrian, the Spirit of Ecstasy on top of the bonnet retracts into the top of the radiator!
