What makes a V8 so attractive? this is your chance to drive one and find out
The SD1 was another bold Rover design with a highly contemporary wedge shape and a big boot accessed by a large hatch back. In 3.5 litre Vitesse form ,this was a seriously fast car which could munch miles at a prodigious rate. Unfortunately, poor industrial relations badly compromised its build quality and although it was praised by the press, winning the European Car of the Year award in 1977, it also gained a reputation for unreliability and rust. The SD1 was the last passenger car built at the Solihull plant where it was produced for a decade between 1976-86
This car is also available to drive but if you are too young to drive or just feel more comfortable as a passenger then this 10 minute experience is a great option
